Route 66 World News is located in the old Casa Grande Hotel, host to the 1931 National Route 66 Convention.  It was built in the late 1920's and promoted as the only fireproof hotel between Oklahoma City and Amarillo.  The Casa Grande Hotel is also home of the Anadarko Basin Museum of Natural History.

The ABMNH has an outstanding collection of minerals, fossils, rocks, Native American artifacts, oil & gas memorabilia, art & photographs, oil & gas exploration and production equipment. Our goal is to portray a relationship to Route 66, oil & gas, & to provide an extensive tourist information center.

The regional nature of the museum encompasses a large, natural geologic wonder known as the Anadarko Basin.  This basin covers most of the area roughly bounded by Oklahoma City, Anadarko, Amarillo, Guymon, Dodge City, and Blackwell.  Some of the deepest natural-gas wells on Earth have been in the Anadarko Basin.
